When not to convert GIF to FLC
- Skip FLC for the smallest share: lossless output stays large, so prefer a lossy target when sending GIF files.
- Flatten transparency first: FLC has no alpha channel, so composite GIF over a background color.
Limits
Starting point: GIF - 256-color animation with 1-bit transparency. Limited to 256 colors per frame, so gradients may band. Frame deltas can glitch on corrupt frames; verify playback. Set the quality slider near 80-90 for FLC photos from GIF, and keep dimensions matched to the source.
