When not to convert MIDI to MIDI

Starting point: MIDI - MID files store note events with no audio of their own. Rendering needs a soundfont, which sets the final timbre. No audio is stored, so playback varies by synth. Encode MIDI (MIDI) from MIDI at 256k for music or 128k for speech, starting from the master.
