When not to convert MIDI to MTM

Limits
Starting point: MIDI - MID files store note events with no audio of their own. Rendering needs a soundfont, which sets the final timbre. Old 32-channel layouts may fold down; check the mix. Encode MTM (MTM) from MIDI at 256k for music or 128k for speech, starting from the master.
