Trimming cuts a time segment from your video; converting changes the container and codec. If you need a different format instead of a shorter clip, use Video Convert.

Format limits to know

Output is encoded to MP4 for universal playback. Very large files may take a while to process on slower devices - keep the original until you have checked the trimmed result.
